The Benton Survey Research Laboratory has been funded by a gift by Max and Judith Benton and with the help of the UCSB College of Letters and Science. The Center is currently hosted on campus by the Institute for Social Behavioral and Economic Studies (ISBER).

At the BSRL, all students enrolled in research design classes can gain practical experience in research techniques. We offer hands-on training and practice on Computer-Aided Telephone Interviewing (CATI) systems. The College of Letters and Science also sponsor a Teaching Assistant to help instructors with the Center's Instructional Activities.
