   | The Social Science Data Library (SSDL) acts as a liaison between UCSB faculty and students and the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). ICPSR is the largest archive of social science data in the world and contains data relevant to the study of political, social, and economic institutions, the attitudes of individuals on a wide array of topics, and the economic behavior of individuals. The data resources of ICPSR are available to faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students at UCSB. The Data Library acquires, manages, and preserves quantitative computer-readable data files from the various disciplines of the social sciences and provides data-related services as needed to support research and instruction at the University of California, Santa Barbara. To browse the many data holdings archived at ICPSR, visit their web-site (listed below) or stop by 2219B North Hall and browse the printed ICPSR Guide to Resources. Requests for data and codebooks, or questions regarding data holdings should be forwarded to the Data or by emailing us directly
