Consulting services

The Social Science Survey Center provides initial consultation to all clients at no charge. Consultation can range from research design and choice of survey method to questionnaire construction and validation, sampling, and post-collection data analysis. The SSSC is available to reviewquestionnaires created by faculty and students, to review sampling plans, and to offer assistance in questionnaire design and formatting. Additional consultation services include assistance in writing the data collection section of grant proposals, including determining costs for data collection. The SSSC can provide letters of support and information detailing the capabilities of the SSSC to complete data collection, both key parts of a successful grant proposal. Finally, through our statistical consulting unit, assistance in writing the data analytic part of a grant proposal is available.
